Will be serviced by THE STALLION “Tioga” MFTHBA Registration Number #01-67887 Homozygous, Blood Bay/White Stallion, standing for Free-Rein Farms owned by Charles Lindsay and Dawn Young, is bred with a Limited, Live Spotted Foal Guarantee. (Limited in the fact that we will only ship 3 times) Stud Fee 2008 is $500.00 plus shipping fees. Fees must be paid in advance before shipment of semen. In unlikely event a solid colored foal is born, the mare in this contract will be serviced again at no additional breeding fee. If breeding on the farm Boarding fees will apply or If shipped semen, container and shipping fees will apply.
A blood test may be required to verify parentage by our veterinarian at our expense.
According to MFTHBA rules, all mares serviced by shipped cooled or frozen semen must have a permit number. Mare owner is responsible for obtaining the mare permit. Cost $50.00. After foal is born, both mare and foals must be blood typed before foal can be registered. AI permit # _________________. For service by shipped cooled semen, mare owner must purchase a shipping container for $____________ and pay overnight shipping for each shipment ordered. Mare owner must ship the container back to order more semen or pay for an additional shipping container.
All breeding fees, veterinarian expenses and shipping fees are due at time semen is shipped. These fees are not refundable.
Free Rein Farms agrees to:
1. Service the mare, up to
three times to settle her for the $500.00 breeding fee. Additional container and shipping
charges, which will apply for each shipment and must be paid for by customer
before semen shipment.
Or
2. Service a substitute mare at no additional fee other than container and
shipping fees if the mare in this contract dies or is deemed unfit for
breeding by a licensed veterinarian.
We will not send a shipment of
semen from the farm unless it is "deemed fit" to breed a mare.
We retain a sample from each collection and examine it at the same time you
should be getting your shipment. If we find the semen sample here "unfit"
the next day we will ship again for free.
Collecting Tioga in the heat of the summer is very stressful and we check his
semen carefully to ensure it's good on this end of the shipment. What
happens in transit or on your end is not our responsibility.
Ordering Semen at the right time is critical....DO NOT Call on a Monday and tell us that you need a shipment for "probably Friday". Your vet should know EXACTLY when to order semen.
Warming semen on a stage warmer is critical as well. Do not mishandle the semen as it lessens your chances of a successful breeding.
If after the first shipment your
mare does not settle a culture of the mare will be required to ship the second
shipment.
Once your mare is bred we STRONGLY Recommend that you take her home and let her
rest, do not exert her until she has been check by your veterinarian at 16 days
for an embryo and your vet clears her for normal activities. This will
lessen the chances of her absorbing the embryo and settling like she should.
Free Rein Farms collects and ships on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays ONLY. You must order by NOON, Central Standard Time on those days. We ship Federal Express Only.
Breeding certificate (Stallion Service MFTHBA Certificate) issued by Free Rein Farms ONLY after foal is born and color photo of foal sucking mare is received at Free Rein Farms.
